The IHS is paid in addition to the visa application fee and allows access to the National Health Service (NHS).<\/p>\n<p>You do not need to pay the IHS when applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain, under the EU Settlement Scheme, for a Visitor visa, or under certain other exempt immigration routes, including the Health and Care Worker visa.<\/p>\n<h5>You\u2019ll have to pay:<\/h5>\n<p>\u00a31,035 per year for most adult visa and immigration applications;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a3776 per year for students and their dependants;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a3776 per year for Youth Mobility Scheme applicants;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a3776 per year for applicants under the age of 18 at the time of application.<\/p>\n<p>For example, an applicant applying for a 5-year Skilled Worker visa will normally pay \u00a35,175 in IHS. If an adult dependant applies for the same period, they will normally pay a further \u00a35,175, making the total IHS for a couple \u00a310,350.<\/p>\n<p>Dependants aged 18 or over usually pay the same amount as the main applicant. Children under 18 pay the reduced rate of \u00a3776 per year.<\/p>\n<p>The IHS is normally paid online at the time of the visa application. If your visa application is refused, the IHS will normally be refunded in full.
